brand story

How do you create a successful brand story?

Brand identity is an important factor in the recognition and sale of products. Every product has a reputation in the consumer market. If a company has a “bad reputation” or if its name is tarnished in a scandal, even if its products are of high quality, consumers will surely choose competitors’ products. A beautiful legend is developed to attract attention to the brand, a living example is the online casino NolimitWay, i.e. the original story of the origin of the organisation.

HERMES – refinement and elegance

The French fashion house HERMES specializes in perfumes, leather goods and clothes. The brand appeared in 1837. The founder of the company Thierry Hermes made the best horse outfit in Paris, that resulted in a picture of a horse on the brand’s logo. A distinctive feature of HERMES is the absence of sales and discounts. To buy a Birkin bag, for example, many consumers have to stand in a queue. The legend of the French house is based on an almost two-century history, a halo of exclusivity of products. Princess Diana waited several months for a Kelly bag.

Hipp – eternal values

The company’s history dates back to 1898. Josef Hipp was a confectioner. When his wife gave birth, she lost her breast milk. He was quick to prepare a feeding mix based on biscuit powder. The babies loved this delicacy. He then began to sell his invention in a bakery. The product was popular, so in the 1930s Josef’s son Georg set up an industrial enterprise. The company was called Hipp Werk Georg Hipp OHG. Over time the range expanded and the baby food brand became world famous.

Examples of Successful Established Brands

Chupa Chups – vibrant life

Chupa Chups is a world-famous confectionery brand. Legend has it that its founder Enrique Bernat saw a mother scolding a child for getting her hands dirty with chocolate. This prompted the creation of a new candy that was just as tasty but didn’t leave marks on clothes. The result was a lollipop in its original packaging. Children and adults alike loved it. Several generations have grown up with Chupa Chups.

El Celler De Can Roca Restaurant

The name of the restaurant El Celler De Can Roca in Spanish sounds like ‘Three heads, one hat’. The restaurant was founded by three brothers: João, José and Jordi Roca. For a long time they had been managers in their parents’ restaurant, but in 1986 they decided to open their own establishment. The distinctive El Celler De Can Roca features a 200 square metre kitchen, an austere style, a cosy seating area and a terrace. The logo of the establishment is the Latin letter “R”. Thanks to a clear division of duties, clever PR, and attention to detail, the restaurant was voted best in 2015.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company – a benchmark in the hotel industry

The Ritz-Carlton was founded by Cesar Ritz. The future creator of the hotel empire worked as a waiter’s assistant, but persistence and hard work earned him the position of restaurant manager. A teenager’s life changed when he took over the Grand-Hotel in Monte Carlo. Soon Cesar noticed all the flaws in the hotel business and decided to create his dream hotel. The first such establishment appeared in Baden-Baden. His motto “The customer is always right” became firmly rooted in consumerism. Innovations in the chain of Ritz-Carlton hotels are separate bathrooms, austere style of clothing for staff, comfortable furniture and expensive furnishings. Having been there once, a guest has a strong desire to come back again.

Thus, a correctly presented brand legend enhances its attractiveness in the eyes of the customer. This factor should not be neglected, as a poor reputation has ruined millions of promising businesses.
